2026 John Deere Classic tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide

The PGA Tour heads to the Quad Cities this week for the John Deere Classic, held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Known for its generous fairways and receptive greens, the course often produces low scores as players look to build momentum ahead of the Open Championship. Here is what you need to know to follow the action.

The tournament will feature a full field of 156 players competing for a share of the USD 7.4 million purse. Defending champion Sepp Straka returns to try and repeat his 2023 victory, while fan favorites like Zach Johnson and local hopefuls look to make a run. The event is also a key opportunity for players to secure a spot in the British Open, as the highest finisher not already exempt earns a ticket to Royal Troon.

For viewers at home, Golf Channel will handle early-round coverage. On Thursday and Friday, live broadcasts run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern. The network will also air the third round on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern, before CBS takes over from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Sunday, Golf Channel airs final round action from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with CBS again carrying the finish from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern. Streaming options are available via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ starting at 7 a.m. each day.

First round tee times begin at 7 a.m. Central on Thursday. Notable groupings include Zach Johnson, Luke List and J.J. Spaun going off at 8:10 a.m. from the 10th tee. Defending champion Sepp Straka is paired with Michael Kim and Ryan Fox, teeing off at 1:10 p.m. from the first tee. The full tee sheet is available on the PGA Tour's official site. Weather forecasts call for hot and humid conditions with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms, so delays are possible. TPC Deere Run plays to a par of 71 and stretches just over 7,200 yards.
