'City keep going from strength to strength'

'City keep going from strength to strength'

Just when you count them out, they still win two domestic trophies and are challenging for the Premier League. That was the verdict from a former England international after Manchester City's latest Wembley victory. The win added another piece of silverware to Pep Guardiola's collection, bringing his total trophy tally at the club to a massive 20 in his 10 years in charge.

Speaking on BBC One after the final whistle, former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer offered his analysis. He said it might not have been a vintage performance, but Manchester City had to work incredibly hard for it. Shearer's comments reflect a growing sense that this team finds a way to win even when they are not at their best. Critics have pointed to dips in form during the season, but the results keep coming. The squad's depth and Guardiola's tactical adjustments have been key factors. With two domestic trophies already secured and a strong push for the Premier League title still underway, City continue to prove their resilience. The challenge now is maintaining this momentum through the final stretch of the season.
