The last several games have been incredibly disappointing for the team. Not because they lost, but because they haven't played well in any part of the game. Over the past seven games, they have gone 1-6, a stretch that has exposed problems across the board.
On offense, the numbers are brutal. They have scored just 2.7 runs per game during this slump. That kind of production makes it nearly impossible to win, no matter how well the pitching performs. But the pitching has not performed well either. They have allowed 6.7 runs per game over the same span. That is a recipe for disaster.
Defensive mistakes have also been piling up. Errors have become far too common, turning winnable games into losses. The combination of weak hitting, shaky pitching, and sloppy defense has created a perfect storm of failure.
The question now is where to go from here. The season is not over, but the margin for error has shrunk. The team needs to find answers quickly. Whether that means changes in the lineup, adjustments to the rotation, or simply a mental reset, something has to give. Right now, nothing is working, and the clock is ticking.
