Westville High School junior Lexi Simmons has signed a national letter of intent to continue her softball career at the University of Tulsa. She becomes the first player from her class to commit to the Golden Hurricane program.

Simmons has been a standout performer for the Westville squad, earning recognition for her consistent play in the circle and at the plate. Her decision to commit early gives the Tulsa coaching staff a foundational piece for its future recruiting efforts.

The signing marks a significant milestone for both Simmons and the Westville program, which has produced several college-level athletes in recent years. Coaches praised her work ethic and leadership, noting that her early commitment reflects the level of preparation she has shown throughout her high school career.

Simmons said the chance to compete at the Division I level while staying relatively close to home played a major role in her choice. She plans to finish her remaining high school seasons before joining the Golden Hurricane roster.

Tulsa competes in the American Athletic Conference and has built a reputation for developing talent in the region. Simmons is expected to bring depth and versatility to the program when she arrives on campus.
