In other boys basketball results, North Catholic dominated Shaler Area with a final score of 72-42. The Trojans established control early and never looked back in the non-section contest. Meanwhile, the game between Avonworth and Mohawk was a nail-biter, with Avonworth edging out a narrow 52-50 victory on their home court.
Girls basketball also saw competitive play. The North Allegheny Tigers continued their strong season with a commanding 58-31 win over Seneca Valley. In a closer matchup, South Fayette defeated Montour 49-41, using a strong defensive effort in the second half to pull away.
