Sports Equinox viewing guide: How to watch every NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, WNBA game on busiest sports day of the year

October 26, 2026 - 09:59

Monday night brings a rare scheduling overlap that sports fans circle on the calendar every year. The NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and WNBA all have games on the same day, creating one of the busiest viewing nights of the season.

The NFL leads the evening with a Monday Night Football matchup that will draw the largest audience. Baseball fans can follow playoff action as the MLB postseason continues. The NBA and NHL both have early season games on the board, while the WNBA playoffs add another layer to an already crowded slate.

The challenge for viewers is not finding something to watch but deciding what to skip. Games overlap from the early evening into late night, so planning ahead helps. Checking start times and setting recordings for conflicting broadcasts is a practical approach. Streaming options and league-specific platforms give fans flexibility to switch between games.

This kind of day does not come often. The schedules of five leagues rarely line up so neatly, and the result is hours of live sports from afternoon until midnight. Fans who want to catch a little of everything should map out their priorities in advance. Whether the focus is football, baseball, basketball or hockey, Monday offers something for nearly every taste.
